Raychelle Stern

Raychelle has been sewing beginning at age seven on her grandmother’s Singer treadle machine. She learned early on that, if she wanted clothes that fit correctly and looked good she needed to make them herself. Mostly self-taught, she has also studied with Marci Tilton and Sandra Betzina, both of whom now design patterns for Vogue. She has also been quilting for the last 20 years, however making beautiful clothing is still her passion. We are very excited to have Raychelle teach at Cascade Fabrics.

Shirley is a watercolor artist and quilter. She has combined the two to paint on fabrics. She has taught many classes including a block of the month.  Shirley is also skilled as an applique quilter, featuring ‘needle turn’ applique and has won ribbons for her creations. She is always reaching for new art forms. Her love of fabrics and paint are boundless. We are happy Shirley is teaching at Cascade Fabrics again.
